I read about how God is punishing America because of our support for
dividing Jerusalem. Why is my town and my region exempt? We have had an easy winter. Yes,
it was cold most nights and our bills went up, but no destructive
storms of any kind. And yesterday, April l0, we got a late snow, just
enough to cover the mountains in white and frost the men's beards if
they were out in it.But I keep remarking to my husband: where is God's wrath for our area?
We are hardly a pure or pristine area. Santa Fe ranks among the top
ten "good towns" for gay people. We have gov't corruption. We have
lots of poverty and lots of autombile accidents. We do have lots of
people who believe in God, but most places in the midwest and South
Central area are like that, so why do Texas and Arkansas and Oklahoma
get hit more than we do? Maybe we are hit other ways, by our terrible
housing recession. So sometimes I wonder if all this really is God's wrath ramping up. I
think, instead, that God's judgment is going to fall suddenly when He
has had more than He can stand of our national sin. "In one hour" it
will fall.Mariel
