I heard another study on the 153 fish from Grant Jeffrey. He said that during the ministry of Jesus, there were exactly 153 people mentioned. Of course, we know there were thousands of others that he ministered to, but Grant says that in the gospels, 153 different individuals are mentioned. He believes the number is because God numbers each one of us - that we are all precious to him.
