I am not surprised that Bush is getting snubbed by Benedict. (Say, didn't we have a traitor in our history by the name of Benedict Arnold--? no similarity, right?)  :-)

 

Pope John Paul II welcomed ALL religions under his wing and even visited the Hindus and told them he was not there to teach them anything, but to learn from their rich cultural heritage and that it would help all the world to heed them. He welcomed muslims, hindus, witches, warlocks, hare krishnas, buddhists, animists - confuscians, EVERYONE except evangelical Bible believing Christians - which he refers to as SECTS! Bush has been described as an evangelical Christian.

 

Uh-huh - what else is new? Those of us who really believe what GOD said (not what some man said) are the most "dangerous" to them. There is nothing "new" under the sun. I think it is so sad that we Protestants came over to the U.S. to get away from the state-run religion of  "mystical Babylon," and she just followed us over here. Why? Because when the pilgrims came over to the U.S., they were fleeing from a church-state that was burning them at the stake because they believed in the literal interpretation of scriptures. There was NO freedom-of-religion in Europe, so we came over here and established freedom-of-religion via our Constitution. Then - here she comes with all her fake piety, holding up her gold cup (Rev. 17- 18) and mumbling her "hocus-pocus" and our government will escort her around in a splendid parade paid for with OUR tax dollars. Saints, get a GOOD look at this when it happens. Her colors are scarlet and purple - when all those cardinals and bishops congregate, you will see nothing but black, scarlet and purple.

 

Even some evangelical scholars will say that an "apostate pope" will be the false shepherd one day. THINK about that statement for one minute ---  Did it every occur to ANY of them that ALL popes are APOSTATE? Has anyone ever seen ONE pope that wasn't apostate? So sad....they have no clue! They have traded the covenant of the Blood of Jesus taking away our sins with the final sacrifice he made when he said "It is FINISHED" - with the worship of Baal - the continuing sacrifice of the Mass. They have traded in the mercy and goodness of God for continuing wrath against the sinner in purgatory, denying the sufficiency of the Blood of Jesus to pay for ALL our sins. They have set up idols in every land in which they are a majority (Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of the Rosary, Our Lady of Lourdes, etc. etc.), choosing to lavish worship on their created perpetual-virgin goddess "Mary" (who is NOT the humble Jewish maiden of the Bible) - the old Queen of Heaven from the Old Testament. They have traded their Bibles for the traditions of men (rosaries - vain repetitious prayers, scapulars, icons and statues, masses for the salvation of the dead, indulgences and relics, prayers to dead saints). They have given heed to an "angel of light" that is appearing to them, professing to be Mary, and pointing the world to HER "immaculate heart" for salvation!

 

How sad that so many refuse to "come out of her". If you want to read what is REALLY going on behind the scenes with Islam and Christianity - see Perry Stone's video "The Apparitions of Mary." He says there is ONE united belief that will bring them all together! It has to do with the worship of "Mary". It is even possible that the image that is given the ability to speak in Revelations could be an image of "Mary" - not the Mary of the Bible - the "Mary" invented by the traditions of men and called "The Queen of Heaven" in the Old Testament.
