"Samson Mwawasi - "DELIVERANCE IS REQUIRED!""

We love you too, Samson, and you are as precious to me as I am to you!  Smoking was by far the hardest addiction for me to quit (35 years I smoked!!!).  I also quit a 30-year heavy drinking (rum) addiction by simply ASKING Him to take away not only my habit, but my desire as well.  I poured a brand new half-gallon of rum down the sink, and as I did, the addiction AND the desire left me instantly!  The cigarettes, as I’m sure you’ve read on my Quit Smoking page, were a whole different story.  I cried and cried while dealing with the withdrawals.  Then Richard reminded me that about a month before I had purchased a box of Commit Lozenges (just “in case” my new car mate wasn’t a smoker… though she was, so I hadn’t taken any Commits at that point), so I began taking those, and it helped tremendously!  But then I got hooked on the Commits, and had to use the patches to get off the Commits.  Then Richard went into the hospital the following January for his THIRD, and by far most dangerous, heart bypass surgery, and I was staying with my best friend who was a heavy smoker at the time (and has NOW quit as well… in fact ALL of my closest 3 GFs that I used to smoke with at work have now quit!!!), and she started giving me Nicorette to chew because there was NO WAY I was going to pick up another cigarette after all the pains of getting off them in the first place! I have now not taken so much as a puff from a cigarette (it will be 2 years in June), but I still chew 2 pieces of Nicorette a day.  I cut each piece into 8ths, and if I feel the urge for nicotine, I chew an eighth.  I think the Lord is MUCH happier with 2 pieces of gum a day than he was with 40 cigarettes a day, and I feel wonderful!  If He desires me to quit chewing the 2 pieces of gum a day, He will also give me the strength to do so.  Don’t beat yourself up, sisters and brothers.  I guarantee you, when He wants you to quit doing something, He will definitely let you know!  :)

Love from your sister in Yahshua!
