"TO Anthony Mak - "Good respond to wrong "nothing can pluck us out of His hand" thinking""

Hi, Anthony!

I partially agree with your assessment, but partially disagree.  It’s true that we COULD pluck ourselves from His hand, but doubtful that we would if we are truly His.  When Satan went to Eve, she gave in to temptation and believed Satan’s lies.  Then Adam chose Eve over God. And since the wages of sin is death, God had to make good what He’d told them.  But they were under the Old Covenant… they didn’t HAVE Jesus’ blood to cover their sins once and for all.  We are under the New Covenant, and as such, there is now no condemnation for those is Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).  Either Romans 10:9 is telling us the truth, or it isn’t.  If we confess with our mouths Jesus as Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we WILL be saved… not MIGHT, but WILL.  We are promised that as children of Abraham, we will possess the “promised land”, and so we will.  I strayed for SO many years, but praise His name, He saved me from myself!  But no one BUT us can pluck us from His hand… He said so.  Satan can’t do it… all he can do is tempt us.  But if we are truly His child, no matter how many times we sin, the instant we ask His forgiveness and repent, our sins are removed from us.  “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)… “For He hath made Him (Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
