"Re:  RDUSA - Loni's Post"

Loni-

Regarding your RDUSA post,  http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/apr2008/loni428.htm  you spoke well and hit the nail on the head (or should I say coffin) regarding the sad state this Nation is in and how even Believers don't seem to know what real repentance is.  I eagerly anticipated RDUSA and regretfully told friends to watch it live via the Internet. (Now I feel I need to apologize for wasting their time.)  At precisely 6pm I attended a church service at a large church in my town hoping there would be at the minimum, a mention of the prayer service taking place in Washington.   Nope.   Nothing,  just more loud music.   When I arrived home I immediately started watching the live event on my computer and was hoping that perhaps I had missed the "real" thing - the "repentance" part,  because what I saw did not even come close to a prayer service, let alone a call to repentance.  How sad.

Thanks for sharing.  I definitely like the Titanic illustration you used.  It reminds me of another famous saying that fits:  "Polishing the knobs while the ship is sinking!"

YSIC,
Liz
