"6,666,666,666 population and Israel's birthday!"
Dear friends:
On April,15, 2008, I was reminded of the U. S. government
Web site that reveals the population of the world, updated every 60 seconds. It
is at http://www.census.gov/main/www/popclock.html.
An
update:
As I am writing this sentence, the world population has
grown to 6,662,400,787 and rising minute by minute.
How rapidly?
My latest reading shows a rate of rise as 146-147 in one minute. At 146 per
minute, that is 8,760 per hour, and 210,240 per day.
I asked myself, "At
that rate, how long will it take for the world population to reach
6,666,666,666?"
As I previously pointed out, it calculates to
May 10, 2008. This was also confirmed by the Drudge Report last
week.
At first, I saw nothing significant about that date, but I was
so wrong!
Reader Dennis Pittinger points out to me that May 10,
2008 will fall on 5 Iyyar on the Hebrew calendar -- or exactly
60 years (another 6) to the day after Israel came into being on 5
Iyyar 1948.
Thank you, Dennis. That is a very astute observation.
The date 5 Iyyar 1948 is one of the most important dates in all human
history -- the very date Israel was reborn according to many ancient prophecies,
starting God's end-time clock ticking. Now we learn that the date in 2008 is
the very day the world population is projected to be 6,666,666,666. I
find that amazing.
It seems things are getting more interesting just
about every day!
