"Eternal life"

I have always been turned off at the cute use of the letters OSAS, meaning "once saved always saved," a phrase that is nowhere in the Bible.  That is probably why it is so controversial.

However, there is a phrase that is repeatedly found in the Bible, and that is "eternal life."

I have eternal life.  The Bible is clear.  No question.,  No debate.  It is mine!

Now, since it is eternal, if I could lose it, I never had it in the first place!  Think about it.  It would have been called "temporary life," but there is no such phrase in the Bible.  John 3:16 does not say, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have temporary, conditional life."  Thank God it doesn't say that, or we would spend a lifetime in anxiety not knowing how long it would last or when it would be yanked away.  Some believers seem to be in that state of anxiety, with no assurance, due to the curse of denominational tradition.

Eternal life is either eternal or it is not.  It is.  I have it.

Truth is so simple.

Case closed.
