"An Extended Passover/Unleavened Bread Season? A Reply For Rowina"

Dear John, Rowina, and all doves,
Thank you Rowina for your posting about Passover. Welcome to the doves! I believe we are in the midst of an extended season from First Passover/Unleavened Bread to the completion of the days of Second Passover/Unleavened Bread. Why did our Master die in the midst of the days of the First Passover/Unleavened Bread, around days 3 to 4? Why was it not with the Second? Our Master was most unusual, and unlike any other men or women, He was without any sin and nothing defiled Him. Other people were given the second chance which completed only after the Second Passover. Was a Second Unleavened Bread necessary? These days would seem to complete an extended process. Since the times of Moses, there has been that second chance. The only person we can be sure who did not need it was our Master. The Scriptural fact of a commanded Second Passover/Unleavened Bread may be part of the reason for a longer waiting period for the bride this spring. Abba Father, His Son, and the Spirit are consistent with Scriptures. They do not deny the commands they have given and bring them to nothingness. Each commandment in the Torah has value for Them.  The Master is every word  of the Hebraic Scriptures, including covenants and commands, made flesh and dwelt with humankind. The days starting and ending Unleavened Bread were additional Sabbaths of the year.  That would apply to the First Passover/Unleavened Bread, if not the Second. They would seem to be part of the commandment of the Great 10 to Honor the Sabbath. Are any of these 10 worthless now? Does the Master abolish any one of them?  Does He invite us to sin in breaking them? He tells us in Matthew: 5 what His Truth is on this subject. The Second Passover/Unleavened Bread is still associated with the barley harvest. With barley the field is white with harvest. With the later Pentecost harvest, we think of the field as golden with wheat. When we think of the saints depicted in the book of Revelation, we are told they wear clean white linen. The color they are wearing is white, not golden. The barley harvest in Israel would be before the wheat harvest among the harvests of the 7 species or crops of Israel.
The Second Passover/Unleavened Bread is so interesting. There is a quality of mystery. Our Master completed the First one. He may complete the Second one with His bride this spring. Perhaps many more of us will be praying about and pondering this subject in the days to come. May we lift up our heads, look up and WATCH for our Groom. Our blessed hope is near, so very near. The finish line is before us and the race is nearly completed. Bless you Rowina and all doves.

With Love and Shalom,
Jean Stepnoski
