Dear John, Steve, and all doves,
If Passover starts on 4-18 to 19 and we relate it to the death of the Master, we see some interesting things. He died, I believe, at the ending of Nisan 14. This was Passover day. He was put in the loaner tomb of Joseph before sundown. There would have been no work on the high Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Was there time to prepare the aloes and spices and do the work before sundown? Yes. This would be especially true if Pilate was asked for the body before the Master died. Even if that were not the case, a number of people could have done the work with the aloes and spices. They may all have been in the upper room and celebrated Passover. What if there were more than the 11 apostles/disciples there? Perhaps others were there. There could have been women included, too. They would not be defiled for the Passover if they already had it the evening before! They would not been afraid of defiling themselves in touching a corpse. They had already experienced the Passover for that year. This was a day 1 of the 7 days. With Passover added to the 7 days of Unleavened Bread we have the 8 days. This is where it gets interesting in our times. Go forward a full 72 hours of 3 full days and nights and we are at Nisan 17 to 18. We go from the ending of Sabbath starting day 1 to the ending of day 3 as it turns to day 4 in Israel. We have a perfect line up with the Scriptural week from days 1 to 4! This brings us to a modern sign of Jonah as we go from 4-18 to19 to 4-22 or 23.
Second Passover may be important this year for a group of people who are not the departed bride or the soon to be departing bride. It would be a second opportunity for people who missed out on the First Passover/Unleavened Bread . That may be how there is a fulfillment this year. We are looking each day. There has been much written about the end of the 8 days. I really believe that days 1 to 4 are important as well. May we be watching together, in the Spirit. With Love and Shalom,
Jean Stepnoski
