How are we supposed to know what to do and what not to do if we don't read the God ordained supernatural book that JC has crafted for us?  How are we going to please our master? 

Matthew 25:22-24 (King James Version)

Even if we can't read, there is still hope:

 17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
 18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

The guys who wrote the New Testament (The Gospels, ACTS, Galatians, Ephesians, 1-2 Peter, 1-2 John letters, Revelation, et al) all knew the Lord or had met him at least once (Paul).  These writers were eye witnesses to Jesus Christ’s childhood, miracles, sermons, death, resurrected body, post resurrection activities and his ascension.  These guys were in the upper room when the Holy Spirit took over Jesus Christ’s ministry - when the BIG WIND blew through the room.  They wrote these things down for us to review.  These eye witness accounts set the tone for visions, acts of the Holy Spirit, church governance and leadership conduct.  This word of theirs works with great continuity from The Old Testament to the New Testament.

Visions and dreams should be mulled carefully with scripture before they are released.

Read your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you from it.  If you believe He'll show up to speak to you, He will.  Read your Bible.  Jesus Christ will be speaking to you from it.
 
Desiring supernatural experiences opens a door for THE ENEMY OF OUR SOULS to deceive us.  The Bible, the sharpest two edged sword in the known and unknown universe will wisely divide dreams and visions.
