"When You See The Fig Tree Bud Know that Summer is Near!"
Dear Doves
As I lay in bed the morning of 18th April 2008 the body was
limp, but
the mind active. I thought about certain views that have been
shared on
the Doves site and emails from others in terms of the rapture and
how
everything might pan out.
The two periods commonly
presented for a pre-tribulation rapture are
Spring April - June or late
summer or fall, Rosh Hashanah. I have for
quite some time been one who has
leaned to a rapture in the spring, from
scripture in Song of Solomon chapter
2, which many feel points to this
period. I would also like to present
another possible scenario to you. I
am sure that many of you are already
familiar with the Pentacodes, which
seems to be presenting more and more
credible evidence, pointing to the
rapture being on Rosh
Hashanah.
I have found that sometimes scripture can have a two
fold meaning. Jesus
said, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his
branch is yet
tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:"
Quite a
few on this site and others I know agree that this statement
was
fulfilled in 1948 when Israel became a nation in one day and then
19
years later in 1967 when Jerusalem was recaptured, but perhaps it has
a
double meaning. In Song of Solomon Ch 2 Vs 13, we see reference to
the
fig tree putting forth her green figs and then in Matt 24:32, Mark
13:28
and Luke 21:29-30 Jesus says, "when you see this know that summer
is
near." Perhaps, just perhaps the bridegroom wooing his bride in Song
of
Solomon is not the rapture, but the cry going forth. You see in
the
parable of the ten virgins, five foolish and five wise, it states
that
they all slept, when the cry went out. Now I don't take this
literally
that all the wise slept, because other scripture balances this
parable
out. It says that a cry went out, behold the bridegroom cometh; go
out
to meet Him. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps,
but
of course the foolish virgins did not have enough oil. Take
note
something is going to happen, I believe that the cry is going to wake
up
all born again believers. Something dramatic. What could be
more
dramatic than a short nuclear war. Could it be Damascus being
turned
into a ruinous heap. That I know, will most certainly make people
start
to talk!
The Pentecodes states that the cry will be war
and most certainly we can
see that all is not well in the Middle East.
Israel, Syria and Lebanon
and others are on high alert. Israel is taking
pre-emptive measures to
hamper rocket and missile strikes against her and of
course her
neighbours are preparing, it would seem for something big! Is a
nuclear
war around the corner?
In short perhaps Jesus was
saying to us that when you saw the fig tree
budding, happening in the spring
it would point to something happening
in the summer. Perhaps the
rapture!
In between writing and posting this, I've learned that
the dates and
figs harvest is during August-September and perhaps this is the
harvest
relating to the rapture of the bride!
Just another
thought. Keep on looking up Doves!
