"To Bre:  Response to Psalm 145"

Hi Bre,

You presented: Psalm 145 (Verses 18-20)

18)The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.  19)He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.   20)The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. It is my humble observation from reading scripture, that: If you have sought the Lord in TRUTH  and have called on Jesus's name to save you & cleanse you from all your sins then you WILL be saved & Stay that way.

You are right.  The Lord will answer anyone who calls upon him in truth.  But what if someone was saved for several years and decides not to call upon him anymore?

You are right.  The Lord will fulfill the desire of them that fear him and hear their cry and save them.  He will preserve all that love him.  But what if someone chooses not to love him anymore?  Think about certain tragedies that happen in the world every day.  Some saved people might have something horrible happen in their lives and blame God or become bitter.  If they choose not to call upon him and love him anymore, they have made a choice to not follow him anymore.

This is pretty much what the great debate was all about.  Some people say that if you become born again, there is no way you could every turn away from God………..or if you do, you were not saved to begin with.  There is a huge difference between daily sin and rejecting God.

We are all going to sin.  The Lord will wrap his arms around us and forgive us if we ask him to.

We all need to overcome sin.  I think there is a huge difference between just sinning and living in sin.

People interpret things differently and will continue to do so.  What is important is our own walk with the Lord.

I just thought I would share.

Watching and Waiting,
