"Sam's son, strong encourager"
I heard a great sermon on the radio re encouraging.
It immediately reminded me of Samson, one of the best encouragers I have
heard in a long time. The message convicted me because I find myself habitually
saying negative things too quickly when I get ticked off. You are either
an encourager or a discourager. If you are down in the dumps you are not
an encourager. This makes it difficult to attract anyone to christianity
and evangelize. What is the most important thing we can do? Tell them of
Jesus. Can't do that when we are always struggling. Well, I wonder. I bet
you Samson does not live in what we consider in the west a life of ease.
In fact last I heard there was a civil war there. Encouraging during a
civil war. Now that is a guy I want on my team.
