In response to Marie Komar's letter about John McCain and how wonderful he is, may I suggest that discerning readers do their own Spirit-guided search for the facts. There is just as much info about how he actually was responsible for the fire on the Forrestal and the subsequent deaths of nearly 200 men. There is also substantial info regarding his POW captivity that shows he was anything but a hero, and that the Vietnamese called him "Songbird" McCain for his eagerness to tell everything he knew to avoid torture. There is a large group of Vietnam vets who remember him and are up in arms about the image that has been crafted about him today. Remember the Swift Boats group that came out against John Kerry? Be ready to see similar groups against McCain.
