I too am very interested in Ascension Day - thinking it is another possible Rapture day (I wrote a letter to 5doves last year about the two angels and their 'message') - so I'll be watching with you - both the Western date of 5/1 and the Eastern date of 6/5 per the Wikipedia info - thank you for this link!
 
Also, in 1998 at a prophecy convention in Tampa, Florida, I came across "The Last Call" newsletter from Pastor Riley - this particular newsletter was about the day Christ rode the donkey into Jerusalem...how Jesus stopped and looked at Jerusalem and said 'you missed me'...and how that possibly the prophetic clock stopped at that moment...to be followed by another 40 years of punishment for the Jewish people - their scattering and destruction of The Temple...then the Time of the Gentiles which ended with the '67 war and then this was followed by another 40 years of punishment ending this June, 2008.
 
I believe that the date that Jesus did/said this was Nisan 10 (the date that Christians call Palm Sunday). Pastor Riley gave enough info on this date to keep me thinking about it each year as it comes around.  Also, Nisan is the Hebrew month of Redemption and the month of Harvest. :)  Cool.
 
Nisan 1 is on a new moon - on my calendar that date is April 6; I believe the sighting of the new moon from Jerusalem was on April 7 - so Nisan 10 would be April 15 or 16..somewhere in there this year.
 
Neither of these days are 'Jewish/Hebrew' days...they are days Christians hold dear. :)
 
I've been on vacation for a couple of weeks but I've made it a point of visiting 5doves during that time...just couldn't respond to your letters.  Thank you very much for your insights and info...I very much enjoy them all!
