"True faced"
I attended a “Deeper Walk” conference on
Heart Focused Discipleship in Indianapolis in February. The first
session that I attended was “Living with a True Face” by John
Lynch. It was about grace and was the most encouraging, uplifting
message I have ever heard. The essence of his message is that
each of must choose between pleasing God and trusting God and that many
of us wear a mask because we are afraid to let others or God see our
true selves. His “TrueFaced Message” is available at http://truefaced.com/site/ . John is the pastor of the Open Door Fellowship Church in Phoenix. His Sunday messages are available free at http://www.odfchurch.org/.
Another site that I strongly recommend is http://www.forhisglory.org/.
Joel Young is a Messianic Jew who has been teaching Bible studies for
about 20 years. He is very well versed in Hebrew and in Jewish
history, culture, and traditions. He uses this background to
bring out meanings in scriptures that I could never find on my
own. His Bible studies are deep and fascinating.
I
have been following the debates on salvation, rewards, and the
rapture. I believe that salvation is by faith plus nothing, that
each of progresses in our walk at our own rate, that works determine
rewards, and that there is one rapture and it is pretribulation.
I admit that I could be wrong but to me, for Jesus to leave immature
Christians behind at the rapture would be unthinkable -- like leaving
the wounded on the battlefield. I look forward to the day when
Jesus returns ending the debate as the Truth becomes clear to all.
