Barry,You have opened an avenue of information that I had not known about -- so I thank you. I had never heard of Lloyd Stewart Carpenter or his book about the face in the ocean. However, I have been engaged in writing about something so very similar that I simply sit here and marvel at the whole concept. In my studies I was led to understand a connection between the topography of the continent of Africa and the whole plan of God for the salvation of man through Jesus Christ. I have written two similar books, one showing the symbology in the Nile river, and the other showing the symbology of the Jordan river. Carpenter's research has paralleled mine but in a slightly different area, so that we have not duplicated each other's work. However, he shows the hands of Jesus holding the Nile Delta, which really caught my attention, because in my study of the Nile it became apparent that this magnificent river is a picture of the redemptive power in the blood of Jesus. The river begins with Lake Victoria whose name "victory" has a Gematria value of 88. Nile also has a Gematria value of 88. And Cairo, at the mouth of the river, also has a Gematria value of 88. It all represents Jesus, whose number is 888. From the place where the water from Lake Victoria plunges over the escarpment and down into the Great Rift Valley, to the mouth of the Delta, where the city of Cairo is, and where the Great Pyramid sits, is a distance of 4,000 river miles, representing the 4,000 years from the sin of Adam to the death of Jesus. The Nile Delta is the quadrant of a circle, whose very center point is the Great Pyramid. That circle has a diameter of 216 miles. It is no coincidence that the moon has a diameter of 2160 miles. And it is also no coincidence that 12240 days of Jesus' life here on earth, when divided in half, gives the mirror opposite of this, or 612. And the number 612 is the Gematria for the Covenant. The original covenant was made with Israel, but they broke it and so, when Jesus died on the cross, the Apostle Paul says "he put an end to the old that he may establish the new." This really gives us twice 612 - one for the old covenant and one for the new -- the total of which is 1224. But when we multiply the mirror opposite by 2, we get the number 432, which is the Gematria value (by multiplication) of Jerusalem (meaning the New Jerusalem, the seat of divine government in earth's great Millennium). It is apparent that the 216 miles of the Nile Delta Circle represents the effect of the New Covenant which will bring all mankind back into relationship with God during that millennium, by means of the blood of Christ and His establishment of divine government in the earth. So in the picture drawn by Lloyd Carpenter, of Jesus holding the Nile Delta in his hands is just another way of showing that this reconciliation work between God and man is the result of Jesus' death on the cross. And the Delta represents the culmination of that work, the great Millennium in which mankind will be brought back to all that was lost in Adam, as has been promised by the act of Jesus paying the price for the sin of Adam. So when I saw that image of Jesus, with his hands holding the Nile Delta, the tingles went up the back of my neck.Barry, I would like to send you my two books "Nile: the Promise Written in Sand," and "Jordan: the Promise Fulfilled." I would like to give them to you for free, as a token of my appreciation for putting me in contact with Lloyd Carpenter. Let me know your mailing address and I will get them right out to you. Also, if you would be so kind as to give me your email address, I would like to have correspondence with you. My email is bgaunt@centurytel.netBonnie Gaunt
