Hi John and Doves,
 
The parable of the ten virgins looks like a contrast, for the most part, between the church of Philadelphia and the church of Laodicea. The church of Laodicea is the present day church at large, I know, I used to be a member. In support of this position, which Steve, Frank, Samson and others have articulated so well, I will list
my reasons.
 
The first picture of the Bride separation/division from the church(body) is the creation of Adams Bride.  A small portion (a rib) was removed from Adams side(body) to make his Bride.( I was somewhat surprised to see someone else mention this).
 
The separation/division of Elijah from Elisha. Elijah, it is written walked with God. So could you say that he loved God,was obedient, that he did Gods will, that he was INTIMATE with God? Could this be a picture of the Bride theft? Elijah was taken and his mantle and a double blessing fell on Elisha. Elisha tore his clothes and I wonder if he wept and gnashed his teeth.
 
 
The five wise and the five foolish............ this has been beat to death, but I would like to emphasize one thing.
Jesus tells the five foolish I do not know(wasn't INTIMATE with) you.
 
The transfiguration
Mark 8:34 ..............If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it: but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's shall save it.
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
For what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.
Mark 9:1 And He was saying to them, Truly I say to you, There are some of those who are standing here who shall not taste death until they see the Kingdom of God after it has come with power.
And six days later, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John, and brought them up to a high mountain by themselves, And he was transfigured before them...........................Is this a picture of the Bride theft? Is this a contrast between the two churches?, you can go after Jesus or you can go after the world.
Jesus tells what it costs to come after him, then after six days(thousand years) he take who? Peter,James, and John up............ why only these three of His disciples? Is it because these three loved him more than the others? Is it because they were INTIMATE with Him?
 
 
Rev. 7:9 After these things I looked and behold a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb....................
Rev. 7:14 .............These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation, and they have WASHED THEIR ROBES and made them white in the blood of the Lamb........... Could this be, mostly, the church of Laodicea who were spewed out of his mouth(the five foolish) whose robes were spotted or soiled and were not found worthy to escape what is coming on the world? but entering into tribulation washed their robes and made them white?
 
 
Many years ago I said the sinners prayer, I was truly sorry for my sins and I did indeed want Yeshua to be my Savior BUT, I did NOT want a Lord. I wanted to do what I wanted to do when I wanted to do it, it was that simple. After all, I said the sinners prayer so I had my free ticket to ride. The world called me and I went. In 1996 I became disabled from cervical spine surgery and slowly, very slowly things started to change. I had two more c-spine surgeries in 2003, they were suppose to make things better but, it was not to be, they got worse. During that time in 2003 the Lord actually spoke to me, me? In his still,small, quite voice.
The first time it was about Love, the next time it was about forgiving, the next time it was about obedience, obedience wait a minute, back this truck up, this got my attention. About this time I'm thinking it's late in the game and I'm way, way behind, what went wrong, oh, now I remember, it was the siren song of world.To make a long story short when I decided to be "obedient unto death" that's when things really started to change.
The point I'm trying to make here is when you go after the worldly,the intimacy, the closeness with the Holy Spirit fades into the background( the worldly is like eating sweets, it doesn't satisfy). Now when I come back to reading my Bible, meditating on the word,and prayer, and stay in that mode, the closeness,the intimacy with the Holy spirit comes back. So can you see the difference between the five wise and the five foolish? The five wise are intimate with the Holy Spirit, they have the oil in their vessel. The five foolish are carnal, worldly, they are the church of Laodicea they have little or no oil. They will have to go through the refining fires of the tribulation to wash their robes and make them white.
 
By the way the last thing the Lord spoke to me was that the flesh is the problem that it had to be crucified or die,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, one way or the other.
 
With respect to rewards, crowns, ruling as a King or a Priest, or escaping the tribulation to come, I have to say my only hope is to be one of those counted among the Bride of Yeshua. To be with him forever.
