"Creation Week and Menorah Candle Reveal Secrets of the Spring Feasts"

First, I apologize for being a day later than I said.  I was just overcome with events and was too tuckered to complete the task.

This subject is deep, though the pattern simple, and requires a fair amount of detail.  Hence, this letter is again a little long, but full of revelation.

Before I start, let me say that I will try to do several related subjects this week and next:
1.  The four Biblical signs which point to the year of the rapture of the bride, 2007, NLT 2008 (Posted) .
2.  Creation Week and Menorah Candle Reveal Secrets of the Spring Feasts (Current).
3.  Hezekiah's Second Passover and Parable of the 10 virgins reveal time sequence of rapture events.
4.  The left behind unwise virgins, their despair, their hope and role, Pentecost and the White Horse.
5.  The unfolding of the Seals of Revelations (10 and 1/2 yrs), their time periods and the major players.
6.  Sorting out God's divisions: the 4 resurrections
7.  Ephraim (USA) and Manasseh, their role and sudden end in fiery destruction.

Let's start with an analysis of the 4 different resurrections.  These are divided into two major groups.  The first group are first fruits and they are those of the first resurrection (Lev 23:17, Rev 20:4-6, Rev 14:4).  [Note these in 14:4 are not the same as the 144,000 sealed in chapter 7.]  They will not only receive crowns but will be rulers in Christ' earthly 1000 year kingdom, even as kings and priests (Rev 1:6, 3:12, 5:9-10, 7:15, 20:4,6).  These all have a part in the great heavenly wedding (Rev 19:7-9)  There are three parts to the first resurrection.  One has already occurred.

The last group is the great end time resurrection of the last day  which occurs after the 1000 year kingdom of Christ and Satan being loosed a little season (Rev 20:5-15).  It is called the second or general resurrection and is associated with the White Throne judgement.  John 5: 21-29 and 6: 39, 40, 44, 54 is a good quick read on this group.  Note that this group contains both those who receive eternal life as well as those who receive eternal damnation (John 5:29).  It is by far the largest of the resurrections and is associated with the fall feasts.  The fall feast are also associated with the return of the King and His armies.

Let's look at the 3 parts of the first group.  The first has already occurred, the worthy (note: many, not all) Old Testament saints which came out of the graves right after Jesus was resurrected (Mat 27:52-53).  They were seen by many in Jerusalem.  They were the cloud into which Jesus ascended (Acts 1:9).  John the Baptist, who died before Jesus was one of these (Lk 16:16).  These have all had a very close relationship with Jesus these last 2000 years.  John the Baptist said he was a friend of the bridegroom (John:3:29).  They are part of the Groom's bridal party.  They are longtime good friends of the groom.

The second and third groups are represented in Lev 23:17 as the two wave loaves of leavened bread.  They also are first fruits unto the Lord.  These are waved on Pentecost as the conclusion to the spring feasts.  Both of these groups are the work of the Holy Spirit, the comforter which Jesus sent after His ascension. Not only are there two loaves, there are also two doors.  Note Mat 24:33 & Mk 13:29 both record the opening of the doors as plural, i.e. more than one.  [Note: You will see fruits as part of the fall feasts, feast of Tabernacles in Lev 23:39, but you only see first fruits in the spring feasts.  This is consistent in scripture].

The first of these two loaves is the bride.  She is found in heaven prior to the breaking of the seals of Revelations (Rev 5:9-10).  They are men because they are saved by the blood.  How do I know they are not the Old Testament Saints?  Because they are of every kindred, tongue, people and nation (multi-colored coat).  Saint John is part of this group.  How do I know?  Because he was given a preview.  The key words that describe this group in Jesus' letter to the 7 churches (Rev 2-3) are worthy and overcome.  In fact, worthy is used consistently throughout the New Testament in describing this group (ex: Lk 21:36).  They are not only worthy to receive the reward as pillars in the temple (kings/priests),  but they are worthy to miss the hour of trial/temptation which comes upon the world.  [Note as well rulership in Mat 24:47 and note Creation day 4 in Gen 1:16&18].  The Groom, the Groom's party and the bride attend the wedding (Rev 19:7-8).  Then there is a 7 day (year) honeymoon in heaven before the guests come to the wedding supper.

One of the great unknowns about the above group is just how many?  There is no numerical hint in scripture.  Examples of this division/separation are 1 & 1, 5 & 5 etc and there is no hint in Rev 5:9.  However, governments, particularly one of kingship must be pyramid shaped.  The rulers are far fewer in number than those ruled.  The parable of the king who gave his son a wedding in Mat 22:2-14 gives us a clue.  It ends with many are called, but few are chosen.  Those not chosen in vs 8 are identified as not worthy.  Do you recall how Paul always worried that he was "not worthy" and "least of all saints"?  Yet Paul was the major preacher of saved by grace and not by works.  He knew that he was saved.  Paul was worried he might not be worthy of being in this special group.  My guess is Paul makes it with room to spare, but it certainly sobers me to think that he might worry.  There is hope though for those like me in the parable of the man who gave a great supper (Lk 14:16-25)(read Jesus follow-on remarks in 26-35 as well).  For many that are first shall be last and many who are last shall be first.

The last of these two loaves is the tribulation saints.  They are found around the throne in Rev 7:9-15.  They are a great multitude, too great to number.  They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  They have done this during the time of the Revelation seals and during the first 3.5 years of the tribulation.  I will explain this in a later letter, but they are the White Horse of the first seal.  Many of these were the unwise virgins who were left behind because they were not worthy to begin with.  Sadly, all these will die during this period (Rev 6:9-11).  There is no hint anywhere in Revelations that any are raptured  out the second door alive (Rev 20:4).  These lead a great worldwide revival during the 3.5 years of the first 3 seals, before Death and Hell (antichrist and false prophet) come to power at the 4th seal.  It is here the tribulation and mark of the beast begins.  It is here the two witnesses arrive on the scene as well.

Remember Jesus' examples of purifying gold and silver?  Before technology, the refiner kept returning the metal to the fire to get out the impurities.  When he could see himself (his image) clearly in the gold/silver, then it was considered pure.  The unwise virgins are cast into the fires of the tribulation to be made pure (white).  They have not lost their salvation, but they are not worthy of the kingdom.  They can earn that right through obedience to the death.  Luke 13:24-30 shows us that many who partake of the Lord's Supper and who are teachers and preachers of the gospel are left behind, not worthy.  It ends as well in that many who are presently first, shall be last.

To those who might be new to this, hopefully the picture is beginning to clear.  To those more well drilled in scripture, it is still a sobering thought.

Now on to the patterns that God gave us and how they fit the spring feasts.

God's word is much like a great house.  A house is built on it's foundation and the shape of the foundation will determine the shape/structure of the house.  Genesis and the five books of Moses called the Torah are the foundation on which all that follows rest.  Genesis and Revelations are surely the Grand Central Station of a great train trip.

Creation week sets a pattern that all that follows does follow.   We see in Day 1 that Light is created and it divides darkness.  Division and separation are synonyms.  It is the first division in creation and the word.  This light is not the sun, moon and stars because that doesn't come until day 4.  I assume it is the same light St John identifies as Jesus.  Now creation week is a figurative or symbolic week of 7 days.  It is a pattern.  For the purposes of this article, It does not matter if you believe it was made in 6 each 24 hour days, but two clues are given that God is speaking in figurative or symbolic language, much as Jesus did with parables.  First, it was in day 4 that God created the sun, moon and stars for which He said was for use as calendars (markers of time).  Secondly, in Gen 2:4, God says "these are the generations (plural) of the heavens and earth when they were created, in the day (singular) that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens".   Now, we know as well that God said that to Him a day is as a thousand years.  As well, we know that Jesus told His disciples He would return after two days (2000 years).  God is covering a long period of time in a pattern of 7.

Day one is special because it is the beginning of the creation and when God made Light.  This Light has the power of dividing.  The next special day appears to be day 4.  Here light is again introduced and established in the creation.  The sun, moon and stars are created and some interesting remarks are attached to them.  One is they are for use as calendars.  Two, they also (as in day one) divide light from darkness.  Three and maybe most importantly, they rule.  Day 4 is associated with rulership, division (separation) and marking time.  Day 7 is a day of rest outside of the 6 days of creation, but it should be noted it is special because it represents perfection (all that was made was good) and is a completion point which separates this week from any that would follow.  We should be able to see here a figure of 7 with the 1 and 7 special because they are the beginning and ending and the 4 is special because it is the cardinal midpoint with some very special attributes to include rulership.

Just my own thoughts, but it is hard not to see our sun as an example of "the Son" as it provides light in the darkness of our solar system.  Equally, it is hard not to see the moon as an example of "the bride" as it is a lesser light in the darkness and does not produce her own light, but reflects the light of the sun.  I tend to think New Jerusalem which comes down from God and is the bright home of the bride is probably spherical and will orbit the earth, providing light, much as does the moon.

Now, let's look at the menorah candle which had 7 candles and was used to give light to the tabernacle.  The pattern is described in Ex 25: 31-40.  Note that vs 40 (that special 4) is the verse that God told Moses to make it after the pattern that He showed him on the mountain.  It is a heavenly pattern and I believe it is the same as the candle in Rev 1: 12 & 20, the one before the heavenly throne.  Note vs 32, it is made of six branches, 3 out of each side.  The middle stick, the 4th candle has four knops and four bowls shaped like almonds which provide oil to the other candles by pairs.  So, all the branches are connected to the preeminent 4th candle by pairs.  This 4th candle not only provides the oil, but it connects and divides the branches.  The pairing is in this pattern:  1 & 7 (beginning and end), 2 & 6 (Jesus, Son of God and man), 3 & 5 (Holy Spirit and Grace).  The 4th candle sits in the middle as preeminent ruler (to which all the other candles are attached), divider (judge) and provider (of oil).  Interesting, each pairing adds to 8.

This 1, 4 and 7 are seen throughout scripture.  The 4 is seen as well in its magnified forms of 40 and 400 as periods of personal and national testing.  [See the letter about the 4 signs of the rapture/separation for numerous examples of this 4/40/400].   The 40 comes in both days and years, but you never see it shortened or lengthened.  The 4 is prominent in Revelations starting with the trumpet and open door in chapter 4, vs 1.  There are 4 horses that ride and then at the 4th seal the tribulation begins with Death and Hell (antichrist and false prophet) coming to power (Rev 6:8).  It is at the 4th trumpet when the false prophet takes over, the two witnesses killed and the trib saints resurrected.  At this time will be the wedding supper.  The great tribulation and time of God's wrath then begins with the woes of the 5th, 6th and 7th trumpets.
The 4, 40 and 400 are truly markers of time and periods of testing.

I would have never known to look at the spring feasts with this pattern if one night I hadn't stumbled onto Numbers 9 and read about the Second Passover.  It was one of those rare nights when you can tell the Holy Spirit is present and speaking.  It hit me that this feast was tailor made for the bride and groom.  First, some of the people went to Moses because they had a problem with being defiled by the touching of the dead and could not participate in the Passover of the 1st month.  Moses told them to "stand still" while I go to the Lord for the answer.  God provided the answer, a Second Passover exactly 30 days after the first,   but then God added something that was not asked.  God also added that any man on a far journey and unable to participate in the 1st month Passover would participate in this one.  Note the man on a far journey in Jesus' parable in Lk 19:12.  Again, note this far traveler in the parable directly following the parable of the 10 virgins in Mat 25:14.  As well note His tendency to arrive at midnight (Mat 25:6, Lk 11:5) just like the midnight cry of Ex 11:4-6 and 12:29-30.  Jesus added this for Him, the Groom.

The Groom should be obvious, but why/how is the bride figured here?  All the above verses, passages, seem to be connected to the original Passover, i.e. midnight cry, far journey etc.  Now, think about Jesus' famous "Last Supper".  It was a Passover celebration meal, though it was eaten one day early as Jesus was appointed from the beginning to be the lamb meal that must be killed on Passover preparation day.  At this meal, Jesus made a change for His new believers, the first of His New Testament church.  Jesus broke bread which He said was His (dead) body and told them to eat.  He then gave them a cup of wine and told them it was His blood of the New Testament shed (killed/dead) for the remission of sins.  By the Old Testament Law, the church is surely defiled by the touching (eating/drinking) of the dead.  Further, the bride symbolically dies herself in the act of baptism.  She dies from this world.  One last clue, Jesus told his disciples at this Passover meal, I will not drink again the fruit of the vine (wine/blood) until I drink it again, new, with you in the kingdom.  Point blank, the Second Passover was created especially for the bride and groom.

[For those who still might be confused about Jesus' death day, it was a Wednesday, midweek, just like that 4th day and 4th candle.  John 19:31 reveals that the sabbath they were hurrying to get Jesus buried in time for was a high sabbath or high day.  Regular sabbaths were holy days, but God's designated feast days were most holy, high sabbath days, in which attendance was required.]

With the above revelation about Second Passover, I begin to take another look at the Spring Feasts.  It was then that God showed me the pattern in Creation Week and the Candlestick.  Scripture says the feasts of the Spring are Passover, Unleavened Bread, Feast of Weeks and Pentecost.  Outside of Numbers 9, there is no mention of Second Passover until you see Hezekiah celebrate it in 2 Chron 30.  Interestingly here it is said to be one of the two most joyous celebrations ever held in Jerusalem, the other being Solomon's temple dedication feast held in the fall at the time of the Feast of Tabernacles.  Both were held 7 days + 7 days, kind of like that 7+7 stuff in Joseph and the Pharaoh's dream, then famine.  But in Hezekiah's celebration it ends with their prayers were heard all the way to heaven.  In Solomon's they go home joyful, but following this feast it is mentioned that God appeared (in a sense, came down) to Solomon in a dream.

In a later letter, I will tell you how Hezekiah's feast when overlaid with the parable of the 10 virgins (Mat 25)  and the rapture passage of 1Thes 4:13-17 gives us clues as to how this event will unfold.

Let me tell you, all this stuff that I am showing you, Steve Berryman is not smart enough to have figured out on his own.  It was revealed to me and I could feel His presence when it happened.  It did not happen all at one time.

When you look at the Feast of Weeks, you can see that it connects Passover to Pentecost.  Lev 23:10,17 again tells us this feast is about first fruits.  This feast consist of 7 consecutive sabbaths which begin with the sabbath prior to resurrection day and ends with the wave offering of 2 loaves of leavened bread on Pentecost.   By the rules Jesus gave Moses, Second Passover then falls exactly on the 4th sabbath omer, the exact cardinal midpoint of the Feast of Weeks.  Passover is connected to the first week of the Feast of Weeks, Second Passover falls exactly on the fourth sabbath omer and Pentecost is the finale to the seventh week.

Look again at Second Passover in Numbers 9.  It is to be exactly 30 days after 1st Passover.  If 1st Passover preparation (killing the lamb) be on a Wednesday, the 14th of Abib, then the Second Passover preparation would be on the 14th of Zif (2nd Month) on a Friday.  The meal celebrating the Passover is that night which is then a Saturday or sabbath.  Now, some might think this a one day celebration, but I do not think so.  Num 9:11 says they are to eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs, but vs 14 tells us it shall be kept according to the ordinance of the Passover, and according to the manner thereof, i.e. it is an exact replica.  Each day of the month is the exact same as the 1st, but the day of the week is two days later.  Therefore, on the 10th day of the second month, the lamb is brought into the house.  Anyone see a little connection here with Noah?  On the 14th you kill the lamb and eat it that night.  That night is the night of the midnight Passover and likely the night the dead in Christ (who are first) are resurrected.  That will be the great modern day midnight cry.  (Remember Mk 12:27 & Lk 20:38 -- I am not a God of the dead, but a God of the living?)

How the unleavened bread plays out in the rapture scenario will be covered later.  It may not be as bang, bang as you think.

Let's consider the Unleavened Bread Feast.  It was created to celebrate God's strong arm in bringing the Israelites out from bondage.  It also has a strong connection to Jesus in that unleavened bread is supposed to represent bread without sin.  Jesus is the only one to ever accomplish this.  It is Jesus' unleavened bread that makes all us leavened bread loaves acceptable unto God.  His body and blood given for us is our only way out of the bondage of sin.  Unleavened bread is part of both Passover celebrations.  Therefore, as far as a feast count, the feast that we should consider are Passover, Second Passover and Pentecost and they are all connected together by the Feast of Weeks at the 1st, 4th and 7th omer counts.

Now, let's go back to Jesus and the OT Saints.  They are associated with First Passover.  Frankly, the death of Jesus is too sacred to share with any other, even His bride.  However, the bride does give up a lot to follow Him.  She dies to this world.  She comes out of this world and lives separate.  The Second Passover is for the bride and groom.  It sits right at the 4th sabbath omer, that preeminent number associated with rulership.  The King, the grooms bridal party and the bride will be the top rulers in Jesus' earthly kingdom.

The trib saints will come out on Pentecost, the same day the two witnesses are resurrected.  Notice in Rev 11:11 that the two witnesses died 3 and 1/2 days earlier.  That would be a Wednesday, that 4th day, at about the same hour that Jesus died.  The two loaves of leavened bread are waved here in Lev 23:17 because it represents the completion of the work of the Holy Spirit.  Like God did in Gen 2, the Holy Spirit will say His work is finished and it is good.  He will rest while Jesus takes His wrath to the unrepentant souls left on this earth for the great tribulation.  The trib saints will now attend the wedding supper.  Blessed are they as they are the last part of the first resurrection and will be priests with Jesus during His kingdom.

My friends, I do believe that is how it will unfold.  In the next letter, hopefully tomorrow, I will show you how I think the rapture events will unfold.

Your friend in Christ, Steve
