Close to Littleton, CO there was an Indian massacre in the past.
My husband wondered if that could cause the land near there to
be cursed. I told him I believed it could. He felt there might be a
connection to cursed ground and horrific occurances.

He then asked what I knew about the land around Virginia Tech
possibly being cursed for some reason. Being from the Dublin area I
told him the story of The Draper Valley Massacre of 1748.

We did some reasearch and found that Mary Draper Ingles had moved
to Horseshoe Bend of The New River in 1748. In 1755 Shawnee
Indians massacred four people and took Mary along with five others
hostage carrying them into Ohio.

It turns out that the exact site of the 1755 massacre is now part of
the Virginia Tech campus. Maybe there is something to Bob's theory
after all. He also says the land for the campus was "given" to what then
became V.P.I. He thinks the family might have given away the land
because of violent happenings to the families who tried to stay on the
land. Will need to do more research about that.
