"ten days"

Ascension day.  The risen LORD was taken up to heaven while his
disciples looked on, and the angels told them that He would be
coming back "in like manner".  That departure from earth took
place on the mount of olives, Mt Olivet.  Scripture tells us
that He will come back to that same place, but that coming
described in Zechariah 14:4 is not the rapture.  It is His
second coming.

If someone were to come out of the sky on Ascension Thursday,
and touch down on the mount of olives, how many people would
believe that person to be the returning LORD?  Probably many.

The churches of Revelation chapters two and three all received
ALL seven letters from John.  Yes, each church had a specific
problem which was addressed by John but, the global body of
Christ today has in it all of the 'bad' elements of all of the
churches.  The church of Philadelphia is also present.

To the churches God said; 'You shall have tribulation ten days'.
That must necessarily apply to the church today as well.  But,
to one group within the church God said; 'I will keep you from
the hour of testing that will come upon the whole world'.

Could it be that there will be believers who will depart on
Ascension day as the man of sin is revealed, while the rest of
the church spends ten actual, 24-hour days waiting for
Pentecost?  I certainly don't know.

We all have an opinion which we try to support with passages of
scripture.  This has been mine.
