• Missing Australian girls found hanged together - A week-long search for two teenage girls missing in Australia ended yesterday when their bodies were found hanging from a tree in bushland after an apparent suicide pact.

Cancer -

• Prostate Cancer Breakthrough - It works almost like a vaccine: The patient's blood is drawn. His immune cells are mixed with a prostate cancer protein and a stimulant to make the immune system more active. The new cells are then infused back into the patient.

• Second Chance for Leukemia Patients - But when drugs didn't work, oncologist Thomas Lin, M.D., revealed a new plan of attack, using an old drug called flavopiridol.

• Drug-resistant germ escapes hospital confines - MRSA, or methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, has long been known as an infection associated with hospitals, where patients are already sick and vulnerable. A newer strain of MRSA known as "community associated" has emerged outside hospitals and is causing severe infections in previously healthy children and adults.
