to be the major problem for the United States, scientists and military
experts said Monday. It will be a domestic problem, with states clashing
over controls of rivers, and a national security problem as water shortages
and floods worsen conflicts and terrorism elsewhere in the world, they
said.

In
the first chapter of Romans, the apostle Paul lists one of the best insights
into why mankind has given itself over to unrighteousness. Probably the
most famous quote from that chapter is, "Professing themselves to be wise,
they became fools" (Romans 1:22). In verse 30, Paul mentions "inventors
of evil things," and I really think it is a perfect fit for the 21st century.
