9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy
city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to
make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting
righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint
the most Holy.

Let's see:

Set of weeks #1 is for "thy people" -

70 - finish transgression
70 - end sins
70 - reconciliation
70 - righteousness
70 - seal up vision
70 - anoint

+ Add together =
Total: 420 weeks

Set of weeks #2 is for "thy holy city" -

70 - finish transgression
70 - end sins
70 - reconciliation
70 - righteousness
70 - seal up vision
70 - anoint

+ Add together =
Total: 420 weeks

So the 420 weeks for one plus 420 weeks for the other equals a total of 840 weeks.

Since a "week" in Daniel refers to a set of 7 years, therefore 840 x 7 = 5880 years.

If that is a date, then it's 120 years from year 6,000 - presumably the start of the millennium.

Another way to look at it, 12 September 2007 will be the start of Hebrew year 5768, which is 112 years (7 x 16 weeks) from 5880.
