Quote from
The Sheep and the Door:
"Note also, the theme of our being able to
worship in His presence, bow before Him, and obtain our rest, unlike
the Israelites, who hardened their hearts against His call:"
I was also noticing John 10:3 -- the porter
who is the doorkeeper and is supposed to open to the LORD!
I also noticed this verse
John 10:9
I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will
be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
Did you see that! Go in and out and find pasture!
This made me think of worship -- worship like the five doves would
do (Mary, the women at the tomb, John). You can go in and out of His
presence thru worship -- individually or corporately ... There are
doorkeepers who can lead others in and out of His presence -- His
pasture -- His rest.
Of special interest to me was the mention
of five pillars built in the door of the tabernacle -- going to the
Holy of Holies (Ex 26:37, 36:38) I thought I saw this somewhere on
this site -- but now can't find it : (
Anyway -- it makes me think of the porter
-- doorkeeper -- opening and closing the door to the Lord --
it seems exteremely significant that there
are five!
--
maybe the five doves of who Mary, the women
at the tomb and John are types
--
the bride who can lead others in and out of
His presence?
--
the key of David spoken about in rev 3 to
the philadelphia church?
-- why not just say Jesus or son of God? why
David?
--> David also knew how to worship like
these 'five doves' -- his greatest desire was to behold --
Ps 27:4
One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall
seek:
That I may dwell
in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
To behold the
beauty of the LORD
And to meditate
in His temple.
