"Re: Bob Hannah's "Mad""

Re: Bob Hannah's "Mad" post yesterday

I didn't see the specific TV program to which he refers but the same two, Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, were guests on Glenn Beck's TV show last week, along with another great pre-tribber, Joel Rosenberg, who stole the show as far as I am concerned.

On Glenn Beck's program, LaHaye acted as though the rapture was more imminent, although less than exuberant about it, but I was so disappointed with his co-author Jerry Jenkins who voiced pretty much what Bob said, like it could be a thousand years for now.  What gives with this guy?  How could LaHaye choose a co-writer on such an important end-time series who thinks it could be a thousand years from now?  Doesn't the guy read his Bible?  Can he not see the signs?  If it is a thousand years from now, then all his time authoring all those books the past few years was in vain, and all his readers wasted their time!  I wanted to shout at the TV set (which I do sometimes, to my wife's chagrin!).

Joel Rosenberg, on the other hand, seemed resolute and not wishy-washy.  A Middle East expert and Israel political insider, Joel was a very intelligent, persuasive witness that God is about to do something big.  It seemed Glenn Beck connected with him better.  My respect for him greatly increased.  I recently ordered his book, Epicenter, but have not read it yet.  Joel's Web site is at http://joelrosenberg.com/ .

Glenn Beck, officially a Mormon, seems to be greatly affected by evangelical Christianity.  I believe he is close to, if not already in, the Kingdom, although his understanding is still naturally lacking.  He seems to be a real seeker and with childlike faith in our Lord Jesus and the Bible.  I have never heard him once mention the Book of Mormon.
