On exactly April 5, 2007, of all days, a new movie will be in the theaters, with the title, of all things, "The Reaping." Interesting coincidence.

Hilary Swank plays a former Christian missionary who lost her faith after her family was tragically killed, and has since become a world renowned expert in disproving religious phenomena. But when she investigates a small Louisiana town that is suffering from what appear to be the Biblical plagues, she realizes that science cannot explain it and she must regain her faith to combat the dark forces threatening the community.

The promo headlines, "What hath God wrought?"

Knowing Hollywood, I do not expect it to be biblical or redemptive, but it could get people to thinking in these critical times of something other than the identity of the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby.
