Dear John and all Doves,
Passover-Unleavened Bread is one of the additional Sabbath days or times commanded in the Torah for the twelve tribes of Israel and for those among the gentiles who wanted to be engrafted-in in faith. The Messiah perfectly lived these.
It is very curious that this is the only one that has a second chance each year. Pentecost does not. Feast of Trumpets does not. Yom Kippur does not. And Tabernacles does not. Why?
Why is only this one singular in the second chance? It must be VERY IMPORTANT to have another chance for Second Passover night for worship and watching. The two great annual nights to watch seem to be at First Passover and Second Passover. He told us to watch. At the first one the barley was young and green. Soon the barley will be white with harvest. See the postings on barley by Arlene in April of 2005. The Groom comes as"a thief in the night." He is unleavened. Will He seek an unleavened bride? Literally? A great question is asked at Passover. Why is this night different from all other nights? May 2-3 is another Passover to experience. As Ted Porter has recently reminded us, May 5-6 is like Second Firstfruits. The Master promised to revive us on the third day. Perhaps...With Love and Shalom,
