"Lily of the Valley: The Bridal Flower?"

Dear John Tng and all Doves,
There are two portions of the Scriptures that are about lilies. One is in the love song attributed to King Solomon. The beloved is in his garden with his lilies. The messiah mentioned the lilies of the field. The landscape seems more expansive in one than in the other. First the lilies are in a garden, and then they are in a field.Do these lilies seem to be the tall and stately ones like trumpets? No. Rather, they are the smaller ones with a fragrance well known to master perfumers. Lily of the valley is often in a bridal bouquet for a spring wedding. You remember the beauty of it. Each flower is small, delicate, dainty, bell-shaped, and white. The heads bow on thin stalks. It has a humble, simple, and pure appearance. One is reminded of worship. Each flower is dressed in lovely floral white.
Lily of the Valley can be used for anointing oil . There is a very informative article at abbaoil.com about anointing oils and the meanings of specific fragrances. When do lily of the valley bloom? When is the beloved visiting them in his garden? They bloom in mid to late spring. We can estimate a time of May 1 to May 31, for example. This year, these dates will include Second Passover, Ascension Day, and Pentecost. Do Lily of the Valley strongly suggest a spring wedding? For Solomon, the Beloved says to His Bride, "Come away my love. Come away. It is spring." And the Beloved/Groom/King says to each of His Lilies, "Consider the lilies of the field."

With Love and Shalom,
