"Muslim foot washing"
I read the article posted about
the request by Muslim taxi drivers to have OUR GOVENRNMENT pay for
special washing facilities for them in order to properly pray to Allah.
This is totally absurd. I would like to suggest a simple solution, and
if I knew where to send this I would. i suppose our congressmen would be
a place to start.
For each Muslim who wants to be able
to wash properly, why not make him responsible for carrying in his taxi
a personal, portable basin? He can buy a plastic dishpan of appropriate
size at any dollar store for a buck, then he can carry it into the public
restroom and fill it with water from a public washbasin. He can then proceed
to wash himself according to his preferred ritual, with absolute assurance
that his washbasin has not been contaminated by infidels. He can also carry
his own personal towel, again, something that can be purchased cheaply.
This would be a simple, inexpensive solution that would ensure our taxpayers
are not "footing the bill", and will keep church and state separate in
order to appease those who insist on such a separation of powers.
