"RE: Laurie Hane's question"
Your question regarding Rebekah
being the only one to enter in while her damsels remained outside as a
group makes me think of one possibility. Rebekah is the true bride, but
the women accompanying her were part of the wedding party. They represent
the entire church, but only the Bride was allowed to enter in.
There are many who say the rapture
is for all of the church, even the Laodiceans, but I believe the Word tells
us that the rapture is a reward only for the Bride. The Bride is the one
who has been watching for the Bridegroom, who has gotten her garments ready,
who has covered herself with her veil, and when the call to go forth to
meet Him is made, she will be the only ready to enter in for the wedding.
For many are
called, but few are chosen. Matt. 22:14
