Hello Doves, I want to know if there are any among you who have had experience establishing a ministry. I would like information on how to go about setting up a bank account for a non-profit organization, how to solicit donations and any other business type issues that will be necessary to know.
Some of you know about my recent trip to Monterrey, Mexico, which was a fact-finding trip regarding the people that Pastor Jose Angel ministers to. This was first reported in a letter by my dear friend Kay Caldwell back in December 2006:

The same day this letter was posted another one by Lisa appeared that, to me, seemed to tie in, and had a lot of personal meaning to me and my family, and from this letter we came up with the name the "Cornelius Project":

Because I have received many words and confirmations from the Lord, even from total strangers over the past few months since this all began, I felt led to go to Mexico on this fact-finding mission to ascertain the needs of these people. My 15 year old son Devin accompanied me and we were truly blessed to have met Pastor Jose Angel, his lovely wife Delores, and several ladies and their children who are members of one of his three little churches. We also travelled to a second community and I have pictures of our trip. They were so kind, outgoing, happy, even in their dire poverty, and they each blessed us before we left. Here is a picture of us seated in the little church, called Ministerio de Misericordio, or the Ministry of Mercy:
Kay compiled a list of questions that I was able to discuss with the pastor and we have come up with a list of many of the things that they so desperately need. Pastor Jose Angel works full time as a mechanic and also does other work just to support his family of eight, and still spends the remainder of his time ministering to three congregations that are widespread. He is not supported by any other means, yet this sweet man who loves the Lord and preaches the TRUTH, not a false Roman Catholic version of it, could give up his mundane work to minister fulltime if he were provided with only $8000 a year. Imagine, a family of father, mother and six kids existing on less than $700 a month! He did not ask for a thing for himself; it was my idea to come up with a salary for him, which for some of the readers here would be negligible in comparison to their own salaries.
There are many other practical needs, among them a 2500 gallon water tank, as one poor community of 300 families has no water. They also need about 1000 Bibles, transportation in the form of probably a large bus for each community and a minivan for Pastor Jose Angel. He has a driver's license, as do several of the men who could drive a bus, but he drives an old economy car that will barely carry five people, let alone a family of eight. The entire time we spent together, which was about 6 hours, he never asked for a thing for himself, and with his meager bank account he insisted on providing lunch for us.
There are many other things which I have notes about, but as time is so short, and the probability of the Rapture coming very soon, I would like to at least set the wheels in motion. If any of you can offer suggestions as to how to start this seemingly impossible task of helping these precious brothers and sisters in Christ, please do not hesitate to post a letter here at Five Doves or email me personally at

I welcome all ideas and especially prayers. With God ALL THINGS are possible.
