Prayer Points for the United States of America

• As Easter approaches, give thanks for Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice for our sins. Pray that people around the world would gain a renewed understanding of His sacrifice and that millions would accept accept Jesus Christ as their Savior during this year's celebration of His resurrection.
• Give thanks that we live in a nation in which we have the freedom to worship without fear of persecution.  Ask the Lord to protect and preserve that freedom, and pray that we as Americans would never take it for granted.
• Pray for the British soldiers being held by Iran.  Ask the Lord to bring about a speedy and peaceful resolution to the situation.
• Lift up those impacted by this weekend's tsunami in the Solomon Islands. 
• Intercede for those impacted by last week's tornadoes in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska.
• Pray for President Bush and Members of Congress as they debate the future course of the War in Iraq.
• Lift up the National Day of Prayer on May 3.  Ask the Lord to work in a mighty way throughout our nation.
• Pray that President Bush will continue to look to the Lord for daily wisdom and that he will be sustained by the prayers offered on his behalf.
• Pray that peace and order will come to Afghanistan and Iraq.
• Pray for our troops and military leaders.  Ask God to protect them and give them the wisdom and strength to do their jobs well.
• Ask God to continue offering the United States His hand of protection.  Pray for the weakening of terrorist organizations and that their plots will be foiled before they can be executed.
