"........and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes." (Matt. 24:7)
I've been noticing how frequent major earthquakes have become. It seems like there's a big one almost every week. Just out of curiosity I decided to see what the stats are and found this.
List of earthquakes

Jump to: navigation, searchThe following is a list of major earthquakes.
Great earthquake and death frequency can vary a lot. Amazingly, there have been 7 great earthquakes (8.0 or larger) since December 2004 to April 2007, or a span of a little over 2.4 years (or 1 every 4 months on average), and nearly 400,000 deaths. From 1991 to Nov 03 (over 12 years), fewer than 80,000 people died from quakes worldwide, and the stretch of time between April 1964 to October 2001 (37.5 years) also saw only 7 great quakes (One every 5 years on average), according to USGS data.[1]
Wow! In the last 43 years, the increase is from one every 5 years to one every 4 MONTHS. And that's 8.0 and above. If you counted 7.0 and above it probably is about every week or so. I'd say that's a significant increase!
