Regarding L Lee's question on Israel. I believe that God will carry out His plan with the 12 tribes that He originally intended for Adam & Eve (when they sinned, everything got postponed). That is why we have billions of galaxies out there. God will one day populate the universe with people who are like Adam & Eve was BEFORE the fall - truly made in His image. (Adam & Eve lost His image of perfection when they sinned). The IMAGE of God is JESUS CHRIST!  When we become saved and born again, we get His IMAGE BACK, because Jesus takes up residence inside His body - His CHURCH.
 
This is why man's wish to conquer outer space will never be a reality. God has no desire to allow SINFUL mankind to spread their disease of sin and death to the entire universe. If you doubt what would happen if God allowed unredeemed people to populate outer space, just look at the latest "Star Wars" movie. When man goes into space, he just spreads WAR and death, etc. etc.
 
In a new heavens and a new earth where Satan can no longer influence mankind (after the 1000 year reign has ended and Satan is loosed one more time - after that - Satan will never be able to influence mankind again) - then God's plan to populate the universe with people who can not sin will take place. the CAPITOL of the universe, I believe will be Jerusalem, the city of the Great King. Even when God creates a new heavens and a new earth, I believe there will always be a capitol in a city called Jerusalem. Jerusalem is very sacred to God - that is where His Son shed his precious blood for us.  Remember that God told David His kingdom would NEVER end and that his posterity would reign forever. When God makes a promise, He keeps it!
