"Teshuvah "Days of Awe""

I prayed that I would learn something new to me on this day of Resurrection and God does answer pray.

Teshuvah " The season of return". 40 days preceding Yom Kippur, Jews visit cemeteries to pay their respect for the dead. A shofar blows each morning.

Teshuvah used to be only the ten days between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur and represented the tribulation on earth to the Jews. The shofar was blown as a warning to return to God in repentance. The root word of Teshuvah is "shoov" -- return!

Jewish tradition extented the time to 40 days so that all might come to salvation. Could this be our 40 days warning before the rapture??

Psalm 27 is recited each day in the month of Elul ( which includes Teshuvah) . Ps27:1" the Lord is my Light" refers to the festival RoshHaShanah. " and my salvation" refers to Yom Kippur. In verse 5 "For He will hide me in this tent" refers to the Feast of Tabernacles.

Are the 40 days of Teshuvah our days of warning? Is the last trump the last shofar of Teshuvah? Then we are hidden away with the Lord(raptured) before the time of Jacobs trouble.

I knew about the Jewish feasts but, just learned about Teshuvah while studying this Easter morning. Maybe the rest of you can shed more light on this subject.
