Hey RGWI’m 52 and I don’t think I’ll see my retirement either. I’m of the school that the dead in Christ will rise first on First Fruits and many of them will be seen in Jerusalem warning the Jews that the time is at hand. Then on Ascension Thursday we who remain are translated and we all go up with those already waiting in the clouds.
Some speculation: Perhaps the whole thing could occur on Ascension Day - Resurrection and Rapture. After all First Fruits was abundantly fulfilled and the Feasts seem to be more appropriate to the Jewish religion. If we get to warn the world for 40 days that the Rapture is at hand with the backing of the resurrected saints then there will certainly not be much of a surprise. The day will not come as a thief in the night for those not watching because those of us watching would be making so much noise that no one could get one minute of sleep.
Of course Jonah could be fulfilled again but it was already fulfilled - three days three nights in the earth, resurrection, 40 days of witnessing of both Jesus and the resurrected saints. So when does the clock start again - at First Fruits? Pentecost? in order to bring about the last week. We know the Fall Feasts end the Week. And we know the Spring Feasts fulfilled the First Coming.
The last week begins with a confirmation of the covenant of death - so is there a limited war just before? Are we in that war now? Something has to surround the Rapture so that it will not be so obvious. The world needs excuses to explain our disappearance. Do some celestial events along with earthquakes, limited nuclear activity, etc. all converge at the time of the Rapture? Under cover of darkness do we make our great escape?
There are some that throughout the centuries warned of the “three days of darkness”. And then after these days peace would permeate the earth. Could it perhaps be during these three days that the great re-alignment occurs? And on the Sunday before Pentecost the peace is made?
