"Itching ears and Doctrines
of Demons// A testimony of Bible Tract ministry"
In the last days we are reminded of "itching ears and
doctrines of demons" as a precusor to the Lord's return.
I think that all these foolish "doctrines" that are amazingly
coming at us in full swing should also tell us that the Rapture is nearer
than we think. (Davinci Code, Gospel of Judas, kabalyonkey and many
more coming out) Woosh, makes my head swim.
By the way, sharing an interesting adventure I had Friday
4/7/06, I was at an AMC theater around 6pm to pass out Bible tracts.
I have done this before and was pleased to get into the hands of about
300 tracts. There was a security guard present and no one said anything.
One of the persons that took one of my tracts was an employee. This time,
the young manager came out to me and told me I couldn't pass out tracts
and would have to leave. I decided to "nudge" him slightly verbally
by telling him I was here before without any problem being told to me.
He was caught off guard. I asked him if I could stand then in the
parking lot. He said no, that even the parking lot belonged to AMC.
There were a host of many large and smaller stores that also used this
very large parking lot. I asked him again if AMC owned every piece.
He said no. He said then he would get the property managers out to
have me leave. I said that would be fine but would go to the parking
lot to continue on. The parking lot I asked to go to was quite a
distance from the theater. I started walking over to the parking
lot when all of a sudden I heard police sirens, not one, not two or three,
but four coming my way. I saw one go past me in another isle and
heard they were going up and down isles. I saw a security SUV driving
through all at once. I continued on walking pretty casually looking
around and decided to walk on across to the FWY and walk under the underpass
to walk on over to go to a Bible Bookstore to wait on a friend to come
and pick me up. I got past the underpass when another siren was blaring
down the feeder road to the intersection I just walkd through. I
just continued on to my destination. I began to wonder if God had
me not seen. I hadn't seen any other "mischief" going on and wondered
if the employee called the police out to arrest me.
I am reminded now of the cost of what it takes to share
the Gospel. When I told my sister this afternoon what took place,
she told me that she is now aware of the hostility and danger of jail or
loss of employment when sharing our faith. She told me she is wary
of ever saying anything religious at appropiate times at work for fear
of losing her job and she is the manager of her store. However, we
are not called to fear but to love. And, I will continue to share
the Gospel as God leads to all who will hear. Pray as I do have a
street and bus ministry that God will be honored and lifted up and that
many will come to faith in Christ until we hear "Come up hither!"
