Still No Agreement Over How to Deal With Iran

CorrespondentMoscow (CNSNews.com) - Russia hosted high-level talks on Iran on Tuesday, but along with China, it continues to argue against any steps that would increase pressure on Tehran to abandon its nuclear ambitions.
No formal announcements followed the meeting and no press briefing took place. That prompted Russia's state-run RTR television to comment that the talks were even more secretive than expected.
The talks involved representatives of the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council -- the U.S., Britain, France, Russia and China, known collectively as the P-5 -- plus Germany, which was a key player in an earlier, unsuccessful European Union initiative aimed at defusing the crisis.
