"10 virgins parable"
We studied the 10 virgin parable yesterday and
I noticed something I haven’t before. The bridegroom was late!!!
The call goes out at midnight hour, but he doesn’t appear then, because
the five foolish need to borrow oil and the five smart ones wouldn’t give
it because the didn’t know if they had enough. So he didn’t appear right
at the time of “the warning call”. The five foolish left for more
oil, and were “left out” because he came while they were gone. So
he didn’t appear until some time after the warning call. If this
is to signify the rapture, then he will be later than we think possible,
but there will be a warning call, maybe the dead rising, or some other
sign, but I still think he will be late. I also think the rapture
date won’t be on a feast day and that is why no man knows the day or hour.
I think we can definitely get close, but I don’t think the rapture necessarily
has to be on a feast day. I think the return of our “Lord” when he
comes to destroy the enemy to begin his thousand year reign has to be on
a feast day, probably Yom Kippur. You guys know more than I
do. Just a thought.
