And buy a gun... if you are the only one left with food and water, you'll need it!!

I think we should not become hysterical over these dire warnings, even if there is some truth to them. I think it is likely that America is the modern "Babylon" that God says he will destroy in ONE HOUR leaving no one alive. But the Bible says that an angel will warn the people prior to this happening, and there will be rumours of it for a whole year beforehand.

I. Is America "Babylon"? Consider:

• - We have captured Iraq, ancient Chaldea
• - We are a multi-ethnic people trying to be one
• - We are the richest nation in the world - by far.
• - We are the sole superpower, the "hammer of the whole earth"
  
• - We are "safely" located between the oceans
• - We are are the "baby lion" of England
• - We invented the skyscraper
• - We "export democracy" a religion of fallen man doing whatever seems right in his own eyes
• - We have strong enemies ready to shoot missiles at us in a surprise attack
• - We have pushed Israel into giving up its mountains and Jerusalem
• - We are full of Jews that are assimilating rapidly and won't leave
• - We export evil worldwide [abortion, sodomy, Hollywood, pornography] despite being "Judeo-Christian"
• - Our biggest holidays are Babylonian - the Easter bunny & Christmas trees
  

II.  Last days' Babylon must be obscure on purpose in the Bible - its called "mystery" or by code words like "Sheshach" - indicating that the reference is to a great nation that would be categorized as the Babylon of its day.


Consider: How can America NOT be otherwise mentioned in the Bible? The greatest superpower in the world today, full of God's chosen people (Jews), forcing Israel to give up Jerusalem, and the possessor of ancient Babylon?! We absolutely HAVE TO be mentioned.

Read through those whole passages, and ask yourself some questions:

Who is the Babylon of these passages, it is not the USA?
Where else in the world can all the people be told to return to their own countries?
If Iraq itself is nuked, how do those on ships see it afar off, and why would they care?

The destruction of America's new puppet state, Iraq, by Russia, along with nuclear destruction of the American heartland by both China and Russia, could be just what will happen in conjunction with an Iranian attack on Israel, as prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39.

The good news in all this is only that the scriptures say a warning will take place beforehand telling everyone to leave and go back to their countries of origin:

One year warning:
Jeremiah 51:46 

And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

The immediate warning:
Jeremiah 50:8 

Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.

The Angel Warning:
Revelation 18:4 

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
 

No need to panic. If the rapture doesn't happen first, we only need to wait and listen for the warning.
