We would like to ask you to stop NAIS ( National Animal Identification System -- HR 3170 ) in any way that you can.   It is unreasonable in its scope and highly punitive.  
Animals already have external tags that have  supplied the information necessary for processing.
 
This is draconian legislation and we are opposed to it. It will put the small farmer out of business and leave only the big agri- businesses. It also will diminish 4 H Clubs, and it involves minutiae-recording by the average citizen, who cannot afford the stiff fines and penalties if not adhered to.  

Thank you for any measures you can take to prevent this legislation from passing.
