I found your post on the significance of Daniel 9:25 very interesting.  I respect your views and always look forward to reading what you have posted.

 

I am a little confused with the "49" and "7" of Daniel 9:25.  "He comes to 2006 by adding the 49 and 7 years of Daniel 9:25 to January 23, 1950, with the gamma-ray burst in 1999 as triggering the final 7 years."  Final as in tribulation period? No.  The final seven years before the Tribulation.

 

You mention at the end that "By way of remembrance, the brilliant Sir Isaac Newton, the father of modern science, believed the wording of Daniel 9:25 referred to both the first and second coming of Jesus."  The second coming at the end of the tribulation period? Newton apparently had no understanding of the rapture and what he saw as the second coming may have been the rapture, which is also a coming, for His saints just prior to His coming with His saints.

 

Are you saying that the gamma burst signaled the beginning of tribulation. No.  See above.  Is that the "7"?  If not, what are the 49 years and the 7 years, especially the "7" years?  Was this just a warning of the Rapture? Danial speaks of seven weeks (49 years) as well as a 70th week (seven years).  No one knows exactly how they will play out.  I am not preaching how it will happen but merely sharing the view of the fellow in Florida from whom I received an e-mail.  He may or may not be correct but the calculations and events are interesting.
