Earthquakes and the Kingdom of Heaven
The three most deadly earthquakes since 1976 China earthquake (2003 Iran, 40,000+ died, 2004 Asia, 280,000+ died, 2005 Pakistan 80,000+ died) might be coincidently pointing to the start and end of a 285-day conception period for the Kingdom of Heaven.
Some Christians have been anticipating the Day of the Lord and Rapture on this coming Passover and Easter (April 13-16, 2006).
Even though our Lord Jesus Christ might be eager to unite with His bride the Church and to end the sufferings of His redeemed people, He is also extremely patient with the unsaved sinners of this world. So I still don't really know whether time is up or not, even though I personally strongly desire to go to the Lord.
But if we do see the Day of the Lord or Rapture during this Passover/Easter, I expect to see the Kingdom of Heaven formally established on October 7, 2006, Tishri 1 and the Feast of Tabernacles.
Why?
I guess that the Dec. 25, 2003 Iran earthquake and Dec. 25, 2004 Asia earthquake/tsunami might be a hint from God. To me it seems to be an arrow pointing to Dec. 25, 2005, which is Kislev 24. Kislev 24 has been mentioned three times in Haggai 2.
Haggai 2:10-15 seems to tell us that the temple made by stone has become obsolete, so we need to focus on another temple that God wants us to focus.
Haggai 2:10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, ....15 "`Now give careful thought to this from this day on--consider how things were before one stone was laid on another in the LORD's temple.
Some Christians suggested that Kislev 24 might be the starting day of conception of Jesus.
Haggai 2:18 `From this day on, from this twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, give careful thought to the day when the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid. Give careful thought: 19 Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit. "`From this day on I will bless you.'"
Since the former temple had lay desolete, another similar temple made by stone might be as useless as the previous one, and all the offerings through the temple may only bring very limited benefit to people. The real blessing may only come from Jesus, so this "foundation of the Lord's temple" in Haggai 2:18 might be talking about the starting day of conception of Jesus as some Christians have suggested.
It is aslo suggested that if Jesus was conceived in the womb of Mary on Kislev 24, it is possible that Jesus be born 285 days later on Tishri 1 of the next year, because it fits well the meaning of the Feast of Tabernales that God dewells among men.
Since Kislev 24 is mentioned again in Haggai 2:20 about the shaking of the heavens and the earth, so it is possible that God would use earthquakes that pointing to Kislev 24 as a hint for the prophetic events of the last days. That is why I guess that the 2003 Dec. 25 Iran earthquake and 2004 Dec. 25 Asia earthquake/tsunami might be giving a meaning to the day one year later - Dec. 25, 2006 and Kislev 24.
Some insist that those earthquake happened on Dec. 26 local time, but since God might want also warn people in USA which represents the climax of man's kingdom. So the time in USA, Dec. 25, when the earthquakes happened might as well be referenced.
Haggai 2:20 The word of the LORD came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month: 21 "Tell Zerubbabel governor of Judah that I will shake the heavens and the earth. 22 I will overturn royal thrones and shatter the power of the foreign kingdoms. I will overthrow chariots and their drivers; horses and their riders will fall, each by the sword of his brother.
If Jesus came to earth through the 285-day conception period starting Kislev 24 ending Tishri 1 and Haggai 2 mentioned Kislev 24 again concering future shaking of the heaven and earth, is it possible that there is also a similar 285-day conception period for the Kingdom of Heaven?
Haggai 2:1,6,7 might be talking about the kingdom of heaven:
1 On the twenty-first day of the seventh month (which is the seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles), the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai: 6 "This is what the LORD Almighty says: `In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come (only when the Kingdom of Heaven has come will this happen), and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty.
The whole purpose of Haggai 2 as well as God's eternal plan seems to be"Thy Kingdom Come".
Earthquakes pointing to Kislev 24 might not be enough. If God uses earthquakes to point to the beginnig of the starting of this conception period, He might also use another earthquake to point to the end of this 285-day period, Tishri 1.
Do we see another earthquake doing just that?
Bingo! The 2005 Pakistan earthquake happened on Oct. 7 (US time), one year later would be Oct. 7 2006, which happens to be Tishri 1, the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles.
23 "`On that day,' declares the LORD Almighty, `I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel (one of the anscesters of Jesus Christ) son of Shealtiel,' declares the LORD, `and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,' declares the LORD Almighty."
The timing of those earthqukes might be just meaningless coincidences to many, but anyway the Kingdom would surely come and Jesus would surely reign in the Kingdom of Heaven.
