we are looking for found in  Act 2:20, “ The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of Lord come”. . . .your post was incredibly interesting and I had not realized this is what needs to happen before we are raptured.

When I began to read the five dove posts today, I found a VERY INTERESTING connection between yours and wrengsta’s post. . .

Did some research however and found that Erin Julian’s story could be made up hype by a news organization called Weekly World News i.e. MAY 25, 2006 - the Day of Destiny!  but what is interesting about his story is the following. . .

Comet 73p/schwassmann-wachmann 3  is REAL and will be making a close fly by to the earth in May 2006 along with it’s VERY UNPREDICTABLE disintegrating fragments that are growing higher in number every day.

From what I have read however the information coming from Nasa is not consistent as far as how close the approach of this comet really is and how many fragments there are at this point, I have read some astro boards that say that it is 50% closer than what nasa is saying and at this point has over 40 fragments. . . . there could be impact on the earth because of the fragmentation of the comet, but we wouldn’t know it until it is almost about to hit us.  This has posed concerns on the boards about Nasa’s credibility concerning this comet. The size of the fragments would be too small to monitor until they get right up on us. To get past the atmosphere they would have to at least be the size of a car however, I think. Any correction would be accepted here.

Not sure if their impact would be catastrophic now although some say the likelihood of impact by this comet is much higher in the next 5.5 years when it comes back around but what is really interesting to me and from what I have read is that this comet could produce a cloud of comet debris that could make the face of the Sun appear as through black sackcloth (potato sack)....and the refraction of the sun's light as it passes through the icy debris field causes the Moon to turn red. Thus fulfilling what Peter spoke of for this dispensation!

This was very exciting to me once I read your post. Could this be the sign of our Lord’s return according to Peter in Acts? Hope so, for the timing sure seems right!

Another interesting tidbit about this comet is that back in 2002 Nasa launched the Contour mission, the Contour was to land on comet 73p like Deep Impact did recently to study it) but has mysteriously disappeared and never completed it’s mission. I cannot find any more info on this mission. Your can read about the mission’s launch here http://sco.stsci.edu/contour/PDF/02-0381b.pdf  but there is nothing about its completion or anything else??? This makes me question Nasa’s interest in the comet and just what has happened to the multimillion dollar Contour mission???

In light of Erin Julian’s story and the research I have just done, I think the devil knows something about this comet too. Every one knows when you begin to talk about extra terrestrials as Julian did and especially mentioning May 25, 2006 ascension day, Julian’s story could very well be satan’s explanation of the SOON rapture of the church. Very interested to see just how this unfolds. Could this sign occur on May 25, 2006, and the rapture come 7 days later on Pentecost June 2, 2006?

Gonna be watchin this comet.
