This week I have been studying more on the Daniel 9:27 passage about the “confirming” of the covenant.

“Confirm” is the Hebrew “GABAR” (Strong’s #1396), which means “to be strong, to prevail, to act arrogantly, to be great, to be mighty”.  I can see that our LORD is strong and great and mighty, but I don’t see our LORD being “arrogant”.  As we all know, the AntiChrist will be “great and mighty and strong” in the eyes of the world; in addition to that he will also be “arrogant”.

GABAR has a gematria value of RESH (200) + BETH (2) + Gimel (3) = 205 = 5 x 41.  Biblical numerics tell us that “Grace” is represented by number 5 and “Deception” is represented by number 41.  This is curious.  Do “Grace” and “Deception” belong together?  Not in a Christian’s life, but the AntiChrist will be “transformed into an angel of light”.  See II Corinthians 11: 13-15.  This passage uses exactly 41 words to describe this activity of Satan.

When we apply the Trinity Function to number 205 we get the “Circle of Hell” as described by James Harrison.  The “Circle of Hell” goes from 205 to 133 to 55 to 250 to 133 to 55 to 250 out into infinity; it is a never ending circle.

Here is what Dr John F Walvoord says about Daniel 9:27 “confirmation”:  “When all the various views are considered and The arguments pro and con are evaluated, the only point of view that really satisfies the passage and provides a literal Fulfillment is the view that begins the 490 years at 445BC, concludes that first 483 years in 33 AD at the time of Christ’s Death, and then postpones the last 7 years until the 7 years preceding the second coming of Christ, which is obviously Still future.

A future ruler will observe a covenant with Israel during the first 3 ½ years of that period and will become the World ruler in the final years before the Second Coming.  He will break this covenant with Israel after 3 ½ years, and great Tribulation will be brought upon the entire world as well as the people of Israel, climaxing in the Second Coming”.
