"The Rapture and Latin"

The Rapture and Latin

Most people reading this short segment understand that the principle of the Rapture is easily seen in the New Testament.  For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (17) then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  1 Thes. 4:16-17.  This is just one verse.  To me this is just as clear as day.  The reality of the Rapture is described.  The Holy Spirit even gives more assurance of this principle in verse 18 which says " Wherefore comfort one another with these words," verifying that this will be an actual event in the future that will not only be real but we can actually derive comfort in being reminded of this Biblical truth.  This is our Blessed Hope.  Titus 2:13.

This is just food for thought because I don't speak or read Latin.  The actual word "Rapture" is Latin and might very well be in a Latin version of the New Testament.  Of course the word "Rapture" is not going to be in any other translation because the very word "Rapture" is Latin.  Is the word "Rapture" in a Latin translation?  If nobody knows that's OK.  Once again just food for thought.
