Occasionally there would be some strong posts that invite strong reactions. These things happen all the time over a range of issues close to people's heart. Who is right or who is wrong? Everyone should make up their own minds. The Doves is not a place for sustained debates. One expresses an opinion, another disagrees, yet another rebuts or says amen, and we move on. The goal is always the Lord Jesus.

Most difficult issues that had surfaced in the past that stirred up strong emotions will no doubt surface again from time to time in the future. It might seem easy to set guidelines on polite language and debates can carry on congenially. In practice this is very difficult as everyone's sensitivity over different issues spans a very wide spectrum.

One man's polemic is often another's bashing. My hope is that every dove appreciates the intention of each poster as coming from love for our Lord and His church. Every strong post will inevitably has its supporters and detractors. A post that appears to denigrate may in fact be 'truth' stated bluntly from the poster's perspective.
