John & Doves,As I'm sure you are aware, it was just announced today that Cardinal Ratzinger has been elected pope. Because today's world leaders will likely play roles in the fulfillment of the final generation and all of scripture, I like to look at the biographies of leaders to see what their pasts looks like--"you shall know them by their fruit". Below is the beginning of his biography:
Joseph Ratzinger (b. April 16, 1927) is a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church and from 1981 prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
Born in Marktl am Inn, in Bavaria, Germany, Ratzinger entered a preparatory seminary in 1939. In 1943, at the age of 16 he was, along with the rest of his class, drafted into the Flak or anti-aircraft corps. He went into basic training for the Wehrmacht infantry in November of 1944. In 1945 he was interned in a POW camp as a German soldier.
This man served under Hitler in one of, if not the greatest atrocities in history. Hitler was also a professed Catholic, but obviously did not have the Holy Spirit living and working within him.
Scary that he was just elected to lead the Catholic church.
